Super Puma

A CHC Super Puma landing at Truscott.

ShoreAir is the aerodrome operator of Mungalalu-Truscott, the largest all-weather air base in the far north Kimberley. The aerodrome was given CASA registration R093 in April 2005.

Using Mungalalu - Truscott with its all-weather sealed runway provides significant efficiencies for aviation operations in the Kimberley / Timor Sea area.

Mungalalu - Truscott complies with CASA's Manual of Standards (MOS) 139 regulations and allows unrestricted operations for aircraft with up to 29-seat capacity.

It can handle jet traffic, making direct flights to and from state capitals and Singapore a feasible option for emergency support of offshore operations and executive visits.

The aerodrome currently supports the operation of Australian Customs' surveillance activities as it is isolated from the national road system and only accessible by air and sea; both of which are controlled by ShoreAir and ShoreBarge. The level of security afforded by the location makes Mungalalu-Truscott an ideal location for operations where security is paramount.
